A Full Day Wedding Experience from First Look to After Party in One Venue

At Novellas in New Paltz, we’ve shaped our wedding experience so you can spend the whole day with us without having to juggle multiple locations or vendors. From your bridal suite arrival in the morning to your last laugh around the fire pit at night, we keep everything connected and simple for you and your guests.

Where the Day Begins

Our private bridal suite opens hours before the ceremony, giving you and your party plenty of space for makeup, dress racks, and those first toasts with mimosas or prosecco. With a private bath and vanities, it’s one of the most comfortable suites in the Hudson Valley. Having this retreat right on site means your photographer and bridal party don’t have to move around town, which makes the morning feel calm instead of rushed.

Bride and Groom

First Look and Ceremony Flow

The terrace at Novellas is where many couples choose to share their first look. It’s an outdoor spot framed by landscaped features, a waterfall, and the natural light you want for photos. When it’s time for vows, the blue stone patio is just steps away. White chairs, a customizable pergola, and a full sound system are included so your guests can hear every word. With up to 150 seats, you don’t have to cut your ceremony guest list short.

Cocktail Hour and Reception

Guests move smoothly from the patio ceremony into cocktail hour on the terrace or pavilion. They’ll be welcomed with drinks from our open bar and passed hors d’oeuvres prepared by Executive Chef Michael Garnero and his CIA-trained team. By the time your reception begins in the ballroom, everyone is relaxed and ready to celebrate.

Our ballroom at Novellas holds up to 250 guests and comes ready with a dance floor, stage, chandeliers, and nightclub-level sound and lighting. It’s designed so your introductions, first dances, speeches, and dinner service flow naturally into the evening’s party. We provide all the essentials, tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, light and sound systems, and a full-service bar, so you don’t have to worry about sourcing those details.

Dinner and Dessert

Our culinary approach is all in-house. Chef Garnero curates menus with couples, offering plated dinners, buffets, or duet plates that highlight local and seasonal flavors. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and every menu is designed to be flexible enough to suit your guests’ tastes. Your wedding cake is included as part of the package, created by The Pastry Garden, with upgrade options available if you want something extra.

After Party Included

When the reception wraps up, you don’t have to send your guests away. Every wedding package at Novellas includes a complimentary after party on our patios. Fire pits and lighting keep the atmosphere alive so you can linger with your guests before heading back to nearby hotels. With both the Hampton Inn and America’s Best Value Inn within a two-minute walk, your guests can finish the night without worrying about transportation.

Conclusion

We’re family-owned, and at Novellas, we designed our all-inclusive wedding packages to take the planning stress off your shoulders. From the first look to the after party, you’ll have a day that moves naturally without gaps, delays, or travel logistics.

We’d love to show you how it all comes together. Contact us to set up a tour or request our wedding pricing guide, and let’s start planning your full-day celebration.
